By selecting File > New > Knowledge Base from GeneXus Server in the GeneXus main menu, you can subscribe to a Knowledge Base hosted in a GeneXus Server instance.

Next, the Select a GeneXus Server dialog will open:

1) The dialog shown above allows you to select a GeneXus Server instance or manually enter its URL. If you know the Knowledge Base URL, then you just have to type it in Enter a server URL manually and continue with the following step. Otherwise, click on Select a server from the list below to select the server's Knowledge Base from a list of available GeneXus Servers.
At the top of the dialog, a section shows the recently used servers, displayed as cards for quick access.
The list below shows both the public GeneXus Server instances (identified with a globe icon) and the custom servers previously used by the user (identified with a lock icon). Custom servers can be renamed and removed directly from the list.
Note: To modify the URL or user credentials of a custom server, remove it and connect again using the updated values.
After clicking on Select a server from the list below, select the desired GeneXus Server instance and confirm by clicking on the Confirm button.
Once you select the server instance, a new window opens where you have to authenticate with your account:

After entering your credentials, click on the Connect button to complete the authentication.
2) Once you are connected to a GeneXus Server Instance, a list of Knowledge Bases is displayed:

Note: Filter Knowledge Bases using the search box located above the list for easy and fast Knowledge Base searching. This is especially useful to create a Knowledge Base from a GeneXus Server Instance populated with several Knowledge Bases.
3) After a Knowledge Base has been selected, the version(s) must be chosen. You can choose to import only the Trunk Version, to import All Versions, or to import a custom set of selected versions (Select Version).
When choosing the Select Version option, a window like the following is displayed:

Select all the Development Versions and/or Frozen Versions from that Knowledge Base.
You can switch the visualization mode using Select View Mode, which allows viewing the versions as a Tree or as a List.
Check all the versions to import (if more than one version is selected, a Minimum Spanning Tree will be automatically selected). Notice that filters can be applied by using the search box located above the list.
4) Once the versions are selected, click on the Create KB button.
The creation process will start, and GeneXus will display a message indicating that the Knowledge Base is being obtained from the server.
Once the process finishes, the Knowledge Base created will be an exact copy of the Knowledge Base hosted in the GeneXus Server. After this process, the connection to GeneXus Server is dropped and you are ready to work offline.
Note that the Team Development node located under Preferences has been updated.
